1) Peeking thru WINDOWS "Fast Find"

Use the Find, Files and Folders command often?
Try this quick shortcut to the same dialog box –
click on your Desktop and tap the F3 key!

2) FANTASTIC FILE FIND! "TweakAll" [447 Kb/EXE]

Here’s the second of a pair of “tweak” utilities
for Windows 98. TweakAll adds a sophisticated
selection of adjustments. To name just a few:

Boot options - disable the Windows Startup Screen,
Explorer – remove “Shortcut to:” from icons,
Add\Remove – easy way to completely uninstall programs,
Send To – add more drives and folders to Send To: menu,
Change - Run Programs, Security, Video, more!

5) The MOUS Hole - "Building Better Toolbars, Part 2"

As discussed in this section last week, you can
easily make your toolbars more helpful by adding
and removing buttons in MS Office products for
your personal use.

To add buttons to any toolbar:

I) Right-click any toolbar, choose Customize
II) Select the Commands tab, then the desired
     Category from the left-hand side
III) Scroll through the available commands. To
      find out what any one does, select and press
      the Description button
IV) When you find one you want, add it to a toolbar
      by clicking and dragging to the desired position
      in the toolbar. Watch for an “I” shape – that
      will indicate where your button will be placed.
V) Click the Close button to complete adding buttons

A few buttons that you might want to check out:

File Category: Close All and Save All
Edit Category: Find
View Category: Ruler and Comments
Insert Category: Symbol and Voice Comment
