         Happy Holidays to NFTB readers!

A small deviation from our regular format this week and next.
I'm guessing many of you will be too busy with holiday plans
(and many more won't be at work to receive their copies of
NFTB) to spend much time learning new Windows or Office
techniques.

Replacing our regularly scheduled features this week are a
few treats from Santa's bag of goodies.  You'll find games
for children of all ages, a winter PowerPoint slideshow,
holiday links, and a very special desk mate.  I certainly
hope you enjoy them!

Sint Nicolaas 99/2000    [1367 Kb/EXE]

This is great little game with top-quality graphics that
comes from the
Netherlands and is available only in Dutch.
Don't let that dissuade you from helping Sint Nicolaas
travel over the rooftops, dropping presents through the
chimneys:

Klick Kringle   [2037 Kb/EXE]

A very special desk mate – this old-fashioned Santa has

in this satirical, side-scrolling, shoot-'em-up:

Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle   [470 Kb/EXE]

I have given this one to kids aged 5 to 55, and
every single one had a good time with this little

2) THEY SAID IT

"You tear apart the baby's rattle and see what makes
the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen
world which not the strongest man, nor even the united
strength of all the strongest men that ever lived could tear
apart. Only faith, poetry, love, romance, can push aside
that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and
glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah,
Virginia, in all this world
there is nothing else real and abiding.”
 -- Francis P. Church

3) HODGEPODGE

Santa has serious problems with all the holiday air
traffic, as revealed in this week's Photo Funny; and
two young men find that assault upon a snowperson
with a deadly weapon can be hazardous to their health.
These items and much more can be found in The Basement:
